Azalea Charities, Inc. is a Northern Virginia based regional non-profit organization that raises funds to benefit area youth and special needs projects from Arlington to Fredericksburg.

While there are many worthwhile charities to support, Azalea Charities has identified Seven boys and Girls Clubs, Four area Special Olympics, Three Homeless Shelters, Leukemia/Lymphoma Research, Juvenile Diabetes, Education and our Worldwide "Aid for Wounded Soldiers" project.

Azalea Charities, Inc. is comprised of 9 officers and 37 directors and is a 100% volunteer corporation with no paid employees. All officer and board member contributions are used to pay the Administrative operating costs of the corporation. Excess funds are either placed in a reserve fund or distributed in part or whole to the benefiting charities.

Azalea Charities, Inc. is a non-profit 501(C)3 corporation chartered within the Commonwealth of Virginia and holds IRS EIN No. 54-1973354. Financial statements are available upon written request from Commonwealth of Virginia Office of Consumer Affairs.

The effort of Azalea Charities, Inc. are two-fold, provide financial support to and tell the story of identified charities.

Azalea Charities, Inc. funds are derived from individual/business memberships, Azalea Classic Pro-Am Invitational and other fund raising opportunities. One hundred percent of membership monies go directly to charities supported.

Azalea Charities is proud to acknowledge being listed on the Department of Defense List of Acceptable Charities.

Goals

To find sponsors to revive our television program, Community Charity News (CCN), which aired on Comcast Channel 31 Tuesday nights from 9:00 to 9:30 p.m. CCN serves as a platform for increasing awareness of the organizations and companies that strive to improve our communities by making them a better place to live through health, education, housing, shelter, emergency services, and other worthwhile efforts.

Increase membership (Individual/Family/Business/Organization) to a level of 2,000 members annually.

To make the Azalea Charities Pro-Am Invitational and Special Olympics Annual Classic signature events in Prince William County that will create major funding for all of our beneficiaries.
