Team Azalea Charities

Join Team Azalea Charities as
an Individual Fundraiser

Easy as 1-2-3...

1. Register for your event

Go ahead and register for any event in which you’re interested in participating (e.g., any 5K, Boston Marathon, Ironman Triathlon, etc.) as a venue for your 2010 Team Azalea Charities fundraising campaign.  You can become a fundraiser for any event that you’ve signed up for with no minimum fundraising commitment!

Note:  If you have already registered for one of our Run for Wounded Warriors events through Team Azalea Charities to get a guaranteed spot in the 2010 Marine Corps Historic Half (Fredericksburg, May 16, 2010) or Marine Corps Marathon or 10K (Arlington, VA, October 31, 2010), you’re already on the team! Upon registration, you received a confirmation email with an invitation to customize your personal fundraising web page that was automatically created just for you.

2. Register for fundraising

Now that you've registered for your own event, please visit our Team Azalea Charities Walk-Run-Bike-Swim Registration webpage provided by Active Network to ‘register’ for our team.  After you register, you’ll receive a confirmation email from Active Network inviting you to customize the individual fundraising web page that Active will create for you. You’ll be instructed to use your login to Active.com that you established when you registered for the team to go into your webpage to easily customize it with a personal message, a fundraising goal, a photo (optional), and place to keep track of your contributors and run your fundraising campaign.  You individual page will be linked to our Team Azalea Charities fundraising page which you should visit to get ideas on what other athletes do to customize their webpages.  It’s really easy – we promise!

3. Publicize your efforts

Finally, send out e-mails to everyone you know, as well as approach local businesses and your employer with a link to your fundraising page and our Team Azalea Charities Donation Form asking for their support.
Visit our Fundraising Tips page to get fundraising ideas, information about our charities, and resources to help in your campaign.

Thank you for joining Team Azalea Charities
and supporting our Aid for Wounded Warriors project!
