8 Oct 2009, Alexandria VA - A small group of MTSI’s numerous military veterans gathers in the conference room at company Headquarters as Paul Jacobs presents Frank Lasch, CEO of Azalea Charities, a quarterly donation check of $2,000. For several years, Azalea has been helping wounded soldiers at Walter Reed and Bethesda military hospitals with their convalescence and transition to recovery through their Aid to Wounded Warriors fund. The program provides comfort items such as clothes, luggage, phone cards, and electronics to support the long and difficult convalescent periods many soldiers endure.

MTSI employees feel a special connection to aiding wounded soldiers.  A large segment of the company is made up of veterans and much of MTSI’s work involves daily, personal contact with active-duty military members.  For several years Paul has headed up MTSI’s ongoing relationship with Azalea, and the donations earmarked to Aid to Wounded Soldiers.  Paul’s personal fundraising efforts are matched by MTSI and will exceed the $20,000 mark by the end of 2009.
